Charlotte maintains a broad civil litigation practice with a particular emphasis on public and human rights law, environmental litigation, and Indigenous law and governance matters. She is also regularly retained on a range of commercial and employment-related disputes.
Charlotte has appeared as counsel before all levels of court in British Columbia and has experience of the conduct of investigations and public inquiries, having previously served as Junior Commission Counsel for the Commission of Inquiry into Money Laundering in British Columbia.
In addition to her litigation practice, Charlotte advises companies and organizations on Canadian and international standards on business and human rights (ESG/CSR), Indigenous engagement, and international environmental and human rights law. She also accepts research, fact-finding, report-writing, training, and consultancy engagements in these areas.
Born and raised in the UK, Charlotte graduated from the University of Bristol Law School in 2016. She holds a Master of Laws from the University of British Columbia, and is currently a graduate International Human Rights Law candidate at the University of Oxford, where she has worked with the Bonavero Institute on Human Rights and the Oxford University Polar Forum.
Charlotte has a sustained interest in the Arctic region, and has been engaged as an academic expert on the implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples in Northern Canada, Alaska, Greenland and Northern Scandinavia.
